B2B customers often require purchase order (PO) numbers to be included on invoices and order records for internal tracking and payment processing. Previously, staff using the POS app could not capture a PO number while creating a draft order, forcing them to record this information manually or update it later in Shopify Admin. This created inefficiencies, increased errors, and delayed order processing.
This feature allows staff to enter a customer's PO number directly when creating a B2B order in the Extend POS app. This ensures that important procurement details are captured upfront, reduces manual follow-ups, and supports smoother internal processes for B2B buyers.
